The following privacy policy informs you about the scope and use of your personal data collected and processed as part of our website. 2. COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA AS WELL AS TYPE AND PURPOSE OF THEIR USE

2.1 WHEN VISITING THE WEBSITE

When you access our website https://ift-whitecell.de/, information is automatically sent to our server by the browser used on your device. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the accessed file
  • Website from which the access occurred (referrer URL)

2.1.2 ANALYTICS/TRACKING TOOLS

2.1.2.1 GOOGLE ANALYTICS

To tailor and continuously optimize our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). Pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies are used (see 2.1.1). The information generated by the cookie includes:

  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of server request

This information is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. It is used to evaluate the use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet use for market research and website optimization purposes. Information may be shared with third parties where legally required or where third parties process data on behalf of Google.

Your IP address will never be merged with other Google data. IP addresses are anonymized (IP masking) to prevent direct identification.

2.1.3 PLUGINS

2.1.3.1 YOUTUBE

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube platform operated by Google. Provider: YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When visiting a page with a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, your browsing behavior can be directly associated with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

2.1.3.2 TWITTER

Our website integrates plugins from Twitter Inc. (Twitter). These plugins (tweet buttons) are recognizable by the Twitter logo. An overview is available at: https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons

When you visit a page containing such a plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter server. Twitter thus receives the information that your IP address visited our site. If you are logged into your Twitter account and click the tweet button, Twitter links this visit to your user account.

We do not receive knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Twitter. To prevent association, log out of your Twitter account.

2.1.3.3 INSTAGRAM

We use social plugins from Instagram, operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA.

These plugins are marked with the Instagram logo (e.g., Instagram camera). When you visit a page with such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram’s servers. Instagram receives information about your visit even if you are not logged in.

This information (including your IP address) is transmitted to Instagram servers in the US and stored there. If logged in, Instagram can associate the visit with your account. Interaction with plugins (e.g., clicking a button) also leads to direct data transmission and storage.

This information may be published on your Instagram profile and visible to your contacts.
To prevent this, log out of Instagram before visiting our site.

2.2 USE OF OUR CONTACT FORM

If you wish to contact us via the form provided on the website, you are required to provide your first and last name and a valid email address so we know who is making the inquiry and can respond. Additional information is optional.

Data processing for contact purposes is based on your voluntarily given consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data provided via the contact form is automatically deleted once your request has been handled.


2.3 SUBSCRIBING TO OUR NEWSLETTER

If you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, we will use your email address to send you our newsletter with press releases, financial updates, and event invitations. Only your email address is required. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing: info@ift-whitecell.de

We do not send product advertisements or share data with third parties.


3. DATA DISCLOSURE

Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for any purpose other than those listed below. We only share your personal data if:

  • You have given explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
  • It is legally permissible and necessary for contractual purposes (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), e.g., postal/shipping services, payment processing
  • There is a legal obligation to disclose (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
  • It is necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), such as maintaining customer lists, marketing, or providing technical solutions, and there is no overriding legitimate interest on your part

If we use third-party processors, we ensure contracts are in place in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Transfers to non-EU countries (third countries) occur only with your consent or if there is a legitimate interest. We ensure that third-country processors maintain EU-equivalent data protection standards.


4. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Request deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), unless required for legal reasons
  • Request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

5. RIGHT TO OBJECT

If your data is processed based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) if there are reasons arising from your particular situation, or to object to direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object without specifying a particular situation.

6. DATA SECURITY

We use SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layer) during website visits, in combination with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If not supported, 128-bit v3 technology is used. You can identify encrypted pages by the closed lock icon in your browser.This is typically 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will instead use 128-bit v3 technology. You can identify encrypted pages by the closed key or lock symbol displayed in the lower status bar of your browser.

We also employ appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized third-party access (e.g., firewall systems). Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological advancements.


7. UPDATING AND CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy is currently valid and was last updated in October 2019.

Due to the further development of our website and services, or changes in legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The latest version of the privacy policy can be accessed and printed at any time on our website at https://ift-whitecell.de.
